good morning all,

In the MSC2N : we use the fields "Comments laboratory" and "Comments Supply Chain"

Do you know a tip that I could use to realise an extraction ?

We want use it to work on a Stock management KPI.

Yes.. screen shots would help.  The field labels you mentioned are not standard SAP labels.

Are you sure they aren't batch characteristics on the classification tab of MSC2n?

In which case, the data is available through standard SAP provided BAPI's for working with batches that most developers should know if they work with an SAP client using batch management.

Thank you very much.

Hi Xavier,

The following picture, show you the MSC2N :

the comments laboratory is used to explain why the batch is out of spec

The comment SC : is used to know the action to treat it

I think you can use the transaction "CL30N". (I send you a very little step by step)

1- Put your class type "23" and enter.

2 - Select your class "001" and enter.

3- And if you don't want any filter execute the "Find in initial class".

Remark: You can add more columns with the change layout option.

Feel free to write us if you need more details.

Hi Lucile,

I believe you are working on some 'Stock Management' project, where you need the classification data for batch to be extended/maintained. Is that understanding correct?

If so, you can use CL6AN, tick the relevant attributes (e.x; With Characteristic, With Values, etc) and fire a report. You will get to know where all the requested class for class type 023 (...but not 23...) is assigned. Also you can repeat the same exercise for class type 001, as rightly suggested by Xavier.

The main agenda here is to look for the classification data available for whatever batches. Now, in case you wish to migrate the same batch to some other system, you will need to pass on the same classification value to the To-Be batch. To achieve this, you may work with your ABAP team, to create a mass upload program and use the extracted classification to re-load to the target system batch, following some business rules.

Thanks,

Arijit

Hi Xavier,

Thank you very much, I followed your instruction (exept for the Class : with the 001 : I didn't find the field)  , I found the comments but not the list of all the comments.

Sreenshot :

I extract something, but I don't know what !

I'm PP-PI and GLM key-user, but not a QM so it's quiet hard to understand all the field

Hi Lucile,

No problem we are all here to help us.

If I understand you tell me the list of all comments it's not correct?

I think and please test to select the classe "001" and not "008". I mean you must select the same option you show us in the first picture.

In your msc2n

And in your CL30N

The first field "objet" column is the material code and batch code, unfortunatelly SAP show you in the only one columns. So in the Excel you can separate it.

Hi Xavier,

I tried to do it a new time and I found how to show all the result for the Supply chain and laboratory comment ! yes !!

But, the parameter is too large because I can't reduce the scope to my plant n° or only to the blocked stock.

Do you know how is it possible to do it ?

Hi Arijit,

Sorry for the delay of my answer, Yes it's project for the stock management. It could help us to know the strategy to treat the blocked stock and why are they blocked. We use a codification to help us.
Unfortunately, My qm access is very limited and I have no access to the tip CL6AN

Bonjour Lucile,

I must to clarify somethings in the CL30N transaction, If you put somes values in these fields (Are filters) when you clic in the "Find in initial class" or "Recherche dans classe initiale" you will limite the output.

Maybe you have some particular "Version de Fabrication" or "Pays d'origine...", please try this option.

If you are just looking to run this as an occasional report, you can use BMBC to accomplish this.  I thought you wanted to use ABAP to develop a report.  But if you want to manually run this say once a month, you can use BMBC.

In BMBC,

- On the Material tab enter the plant id.

- On the classification tab enter a class to use as a selection class.  This should also include any of the characteristics you want to see in the report.  It can simply be the class you assign to all the materials you are interested in, or it can be a class you create just for this purpose.  Use any selection criteria you might want to use to limit the selection of batches.  If you don't want to restrict the selection use a wide selection range in one of the characteristics.  For instance, add the standard SAP provided characteristics LOBM_HSDAT or LOBM_VFDAT into the class.  Then you can specify a manufacture date (HSDAT) or an exp. Date (VFDAT) depending which is consistently populated in your business.  (Note:  any characteristics used for selection in the selection class must also be in the batch class assigned to the material). You can also create  your own characteristic to use.  Like ZLOBM_LWEDT.  Link it to field MCHA-LWEDT and you'll see the last GR done for the batch in your class values and can select with a wide range or narrow range.

- On the Stock tab - select "No zero stock lines". On the "Blocked" line go to the select range tab and enter in .001 to 99999999999 as a range.

Execute the selection.  You should get a list of batches.  Above the list of batches click on the button that looks like three boxes stacked up.  This give you another window that shows current stock.  I like to  switch the display to LIST view in the batch and stock windows.  Once in list view you can click on the Rubick's cube button in the stock view to customize the display to display just the items you want.  The list available should include the characteristics you used in the original selection class.

The list can be exported to Excel from here.

By saving different screen variants and display variants, you should be able to set this up so that you can run it in less than 15 seconds at any given time.
