I am new in using AFM, but i have a challenge with using PAL in AFM.

I have designed a flow graph to create a model, I have a sort node connected to the binning node, the output of the sort node is id INTEGER, count BIGINT, the binning node signature requirement is two inputs all integers (id INTEGER, value INTEGER) as a result i am not able to validate the flowgrapgh.

The error is Source and target types of AttributeMapping COUNT->VALUE do not match.

See the screenshot below.

I would appreciate any help with this

    Hi Emmanuel Obayi,

I don't know whether any straight forward approach to change the datatype of a particular field in flow graph AFM, But there is one work around for that, consume your own stored procedure in between the nodes where you want to perform type conversion and in that stored procedure use "ALTER" DML statement to change the data type of that field.

Note: That procedure should have the corresponding input as well as output table types.
