Crystal Reports 2016 Connection Issue with Visual Studio

Customer Edie Dobbs is having issues connecting with our runtime for VS 2015.

Here is the screen shot of the available options for adding a new item. Crystal Reports is not listed. When the customer installed the runtime, it loaded and installed without an error. The customer can run Crystal Reports by itself but there doesn’t seem to be a tie to Visual Studio 2015.

The customer picked, downloaded, and installed the “Install Executable” Support Pack 17.

It installed with no problems, but there is something missing.

Can you please assist?

Hi Carlos,

Unfortunately Edie is right clicking on the incorrect option i.e. Solution section in the Solution Explorer.

He needs to right click on the "Application_Name" and then click "Add New Item" option to get the Crystal Reports tab.
