Create New Instance(Target) option in Teradata datastore - 4.2 SP5

Hi All,

Recently we upgraded our repositories to BODS 4.2 SP5 in our DEV environment. It did not allow me to create a target object on Teradata view.

There is no Create New Instance(Target) option. This is very weird behaviour, where as we are able to create the same target object of teradata view from SAP 4.0.

Can any one help me out on this issue.

Please find the below screen shots.

Have tried all workarounds ( recreating the whole DS , recreating the repo itself ), but nothing has worked.

Hi All,

workaround was found for the above issue, hope this might be helpful for others.

step 1 - right click on the view name after importing the view into designer and click on properties

step 2 -

Go to the 2nd tab (Attributes) and click on ‘Database_Object_Type’.

The value would be displayed default as ‘VIEW’.

Step 3 -

Now manually edit the value from ‘VIEW’ to ‘TABLE’ and click ok

Now you would be able to make the VIEW as source or target in your DF.
