Hi BPC Friends
I have done a backup of an environment and now I want to restore it in Quality using UJBR.
I have deleted the environment from Quality and the back up file is in the SAP Directory and can be seen by transaction AL11.
I am running the process in background, the job finished successfully after 2 seconds but nothing has been restored!!!
Thanks
Michele

just one question:
I did the restore using the user with SAP_ALL, now to have the environment accessible for the other users, shall I activate using UJS_ACTIVATE_CONTENT?

I don't understand why in Quality even using an user with SAP_ALL doesn't work but in Development it works
Why?

The situation is the following:
In QAS because I have delete the environment Press_Consol to restore with the backup taken from Prod, now there is only Environmentshell
I can access to the Environmentshell in QAS only with an user with SAP_all (if I try to access with my user it doesn't allow me that)
I logged in to the Environmentshell in QAS with the user with SAP_ALL and I tried to copy the environment but the process failed

HI Michele,
Is the file size is more than 250 MB ? why its been chosen to back up and restore from foreground ?
Have you tried foreground option?

Hi Andy,
I tried to restore environment with option, Use Technical names from Back up, But it does not worked for me. That is the reason i suggested in that way.
I was in understanding that if we restore same Environment to quality system with same technical names, it will not work because two environments objects will not have same technical names.
The same option will work if we take backup in Development and restore in Quality.
Please let me know if my understanding is wrong. Thank you

Sample setup:
1. Create directory C:\BPCBACKUP on the BPC server
2. Add windows rights to all users to write to this folder.
3. Configured directory in AL11:
4. Execute background backup of some environment without transaction data:
5. The backup file is successfully stored in BPCBACKUP:
6. Execute restore to the new environment ENV3:
7. New environment was successfully created.

Hi
I have tried and it works but this was only an example and it doesn't fix my issue,
So I made many test and I understood:
if I try to restore using a file in the SAP Directories (the job finished immediately with success but nothing is being restored)
I have also tried to put the path to file that doesn't exist and the result is the same so it looks like a bug of the UJBR using background
What do you think?
Hi Michele,
Could you please let us know the error message, are status of UJBR screen shot to know the issue. Thanks in advance.
