Equipment system status change with equipment categories

Dear All,

I want to set equipment system status as per equipment categories .is it possible in sap standard or please explain with development.

e.g. for equipment categories M while goods receipt system status should be ESTO and for equipment categories A while goods receipt system status should be AVLB like wise.

    Hi Ganesh,

    I am afraid you cannot do much on the system status, as this is standard and it will have impacts on other modules.

    You should play around with User Status or User exit

    No,

    • Not possible to have system status in the way you desire.
    • An ABAPer can make it possible through a function module, only to lead to critical inconsistencies in all the related SAP objects. So do not listen to someone who claims that it can happen.
    • You can have such statuses in User status. You can have a single status profile for both the Equipment categories and set different statuses depending upon the Equipment category using user-exit IEQM0003 where user-status will be set using function module STATUS_CHANGE_EXTERN..

    I see only such solution for your requirement.
