    Hi Sirisha,

Create a New infobject which contains only the vendor text and use it in the selection screen for user input.

Create another User exit variable where you use the text value being input by user to actually find the Vendor KEY and restrict the actual VENDOR Infobject with this value and run the report then based on these values.

    Regards

    Hi,

users generally ask for description in input values is because it is easy for them to identify..

and if your users are requesting descriptions referring to above , then you can enable vendor Key&text.

if the description doesn't appear in the input screen along with key, then you should check below

    • bex description should be enabled either short /long for this object
    • and in info provider on which query was build, key &text should be enabled for this object (goto info object properties)

    Hi

If Vendor has attribute of vendor description as an attribute maintain the master data of vendor and use this in the query and create the input variable on vendor description so the user can enter the description according to that we get the vendor details.

If vendor master data not maintained ,vendor infoobject only have the details of description use the key and text option of the vendor infoobject prosperities in the query designer.it will displays the key and description of the vendor infobject based on the user input.
