Substitution For Customized WebDynpro Screen Approval Process

In My Workflow , Approval Process is Working like this .

1. Approver Receives a notification Mail with Web Dynpro Link as Attachment .

2. After Clicking the link by a Customized screen Appears where they approve or reject or cancel .

For the Above Process is Substitution Process will work ?

Please let me Know the Possible Options for this Issue .

    Hi Sandeep,

    Workflow Substitution is working if you are respecting the way to retrieve the worklist (using SAP_WAPI function module)

    It is really difficult to answer your question as you are making the customized screen not us, and you have made the logic of execution to retrieve the work items.

    • Well I don't know how you send the workitem by email (RSWUWFML2 or extended notification)

      If you are using the extended notification then the constraint as defined in the help is

      "If an agent has defined a substitute, but substitution has not yet been activated, then the substitute does not receive any notifications. This also applies if the substitute has actively transferred the substitution himself."


      => so if you have an active substitute at the time of the creation the mail will be sent to him
