BOP filter in APO-GATP

Hi Guys,

Below is my query.

For BOP filter, i tried to configure both material group (MATKL) and product number (MATNR) and in BOP filter system is allowing me either of one only, is there any way I can use both. To elaborate below is my requirement.

1. A set of Materials were grouped together in a material Group (MARA-MATKL) which will update in /SAPAPO/MAT1 as material group as well, and for some materials from the same group I need to have a provision to select specific product numbers. Is there any possibility?

Hi Satish,

When you use material group, system can select all the products assigned with that material group. If you want to restrict further based on products, then will you enter the individual product numbers in the selection?

If so, then you are undoing the selection based on the Material group, right?

I think because of that, system is designed to allow you enter only one option between material group or material.

If you want to select based on material group separately and product number separately, then better go with 2 different filter types.

Could you please explain with specific examples why do you need both material group and material as selection?

Hi Manimaran,

Well I agree the system was designed either we can opt material group or product but not both. Going with 2 different BOP filters will add an additional steps in my BOP process which I don't want and some times we may need to process only selected materials that's fall in the same group in the BOP process consider it can be manually or via auto job.

This may sounds bit hypothetical, but still I am looking for an option/provision by means off if it can be done?
