Load report filter LOV in WEBI without clicking one more time refresh

I have a field [Report Month] =[1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12] from UNX

I used this as report filter [Report Month] which optional prompt and user has to select from list of values.

When the user opens the report the user to click on 'refresh' to see list of value in the prompt [1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12] for selection.

What I want is once the user clicks in [Report Month] prompt the LOV should load

Issue is user has to click one more time refresh to get LOV

Its a UNX based on HANA View

Hello Vishal,

Can you please check the properties of Report Month is below option in checked or not in Universe.

according to this sap note if you will create optional prompt then user need to manually report the lov's.

This is as per design .Lovs will load automatically with if prompt is manadatory.

yes with optional LOV's will not load automatically.

Resolution

  • The option "Automatic Refresh before use" is NOT used in Web Intelligence in BI4.1. But this does not mean the LOV is always submitted to the database.
  • The expected behavior of LOV depends on whether the prompt already has a Last Answer kept or not:
  1. If there is a previous answer from a previous prompt, then the product tries to retrieve the LOV from the cash. If no cash is found then user has to click on Refresh to retrieve the values from the database
  2. If no previous value is available then:

               a- if the prompt is mandatory: the product forces a refresh of LOV from the database

               b- if the prompt is optional: the product does not display any LOV, user has to click on Refresh button to retrieve values from the database.

yes there is no default value and its an optional prompt.

Looks like there is no way to implement this.
