Webi Merge issue

hI

I have 2 queries

Query 1 ->  GL    coa   value

GL     COA  Value

GL1    Cc     10

GL2    Cc      20

GL3    cc      20

Query 2 ->  GL    Hierarchy level1

GL1   hl1 

GL2   hl1 

GL3   hl2

In webi, I merged GL

Expected result is

hl1   30

hl2   20

However what I am getting is

hl1  10

hl1   20

hl2   20

I am using BICS connection , however I don't understand what I am missing here

Can you select the table and enable option for "Avoid duplicate duplicate row aggregation". See if you are getting the desired result?

Hi Ben,

Try sum formula for value.

Webi report Table dimensions:

Hierarchy level1   |   =Sum([value])

It should give expected result!

I tried sum(value) and not working

If I introduced GL (merged dimension) only then I am getting value, else its coming 0.

I added the GL and I hide it from view

Hi Ben,

Try to build new "Detail Dimension" H1 and choose "Merged GL" as an associated dimension. And then try to use same sum formula.

Table dimensions:

   Detailed H1   |    Sum

Hi Ben,

Please check if "extend merge dimension" is unchecked in the properties tab.

Bring in a non merged dimension from Query 2 and check the values.

I could see the option is disabled in Webi..

In Applet mode -> Properties -> documents ( it is disabled)
