Session Management in Business Objects

Hi Experts,

Kindly advice, how do I setup session management (either using Serialized sessions / logon tokens) for users accessing BO reports (BO Document link) from other applications such as CRM without logging in?

To be clearer, I have around 4000 users in sage CRM . Currently only users within the CRM web app who have account/access in BO can access BO report using the document links.

Instead of creating all the CRM user accounts in BO, I would want to pass a login token in the BO document link URL to give access to this report to non BO users.

I haven't found anything in the blog or document. Kindly share with me if you have or know how to get around this.

BO is maintaining its own user session to control the access/security hence user account is required in BO if the users want to access the report via BO. You can use SAP Authentication with SSO for user accounts.

If you don’t want to have an account in  BO then good option is to generate the report and distribute to non BO users.
