Dear Experts,
Are there any possibilities to upload an Excel file Directly in SAP ByDesign?
I succeeded to upload process. 1. Download XML file from Service Integration 2.Fill the data by Excel 3.Again convert to XML. 4. Upload that XML file in SAP ByDesign System.
But I need to upload an excel file directly instead of converting XML file. Is it possible? Please provide a solution!
Thanks,
Sankaran A
Sankaran,
While i wouldn't recommend it, it's technically possible to make use of a delimited text file (such as a CSV) in ByDesign.
I've done this by creating a custom business object with an Attachment Folder dependent object that allows the user to upload a CSV file.
I then created a text parsing ABSL script to read the data and make the updates in ByDesign.
Again, i wouldn't really recommend it unless there is no alternative, but it is technically possible.

Hi Sankaran,
unfortunatelly you cannot upload data as excel file into ByDesign/Cloud for Customer.
You can upload data either using xml upload or using a webservice.
I think it should be possible to create an excel having a "save as xml"-button to reduce the work for your users but better ask an excel magician for that.
Hope to help,
Ludger
