Cost center is missing in FB03

Hello Team,

In Financial document Cost center is missing, I hav echecked in PO even it is missing there as well. But in OKB9 cost center is maintained against GL.

Please assist for this issue.

    Hi Amrita,

    Check the PO account assignment. If cost center is not given as account assignment, then some other cost object must be given.

    You can check the CO document of the respective accounting document to verify the cost object to which it has been posted.

    The system follows below sequence when determining cost object.

    1. Directly account assigned object.

    2. Enhancement or substitution exits.

    3. OKB9.

    4. Default cost object in cost element.

    In your case, it seems like 1 or 2 is happening.

    Dear Amrita,

    Please check if this G/L Account is created as a Cost Element in KA03:

    Note that in OKB9 you assign the G/L account in Company Code level. But the Cost Element is created in Controlling Area Level.

    Check which controlling area is assigned to your company code in OX19, and then if the cost element is valid for that controlling area and if there is no default Cost Object defined on it:

    Note that the Cost Element has valid that. Check that also.

    If this account is a cost element, even in PO, any Cost Object would be required.
