Cannot see descriptions in sap bw and bpc

Hi Experts,

The iisue that I´m having is that another person start configuring SAP BPC in English language, but it needs to be in Spanish. So I'm seeing the descriptions of the dimension members only when I access in English, I need to see them accesing in Spanish language that is language that will be used by the client .

When I access BW in Spanish, I see the environment and dimension by its technical name, so I have to access SAP BW in English so I can see the description name.

How can I see the descriptions in Spanish. Is there any way to copy the descriptions from English to Spanish?

very interesting question.

I think you created your Spanish named models while you logged onto BPC in english right?

if that is the case then maybe you need to create your BPC models after you change the language to Spanish in Web admin?

Hi Andi,

That's right, the first consultant that start the configuration created the environment, models logged in English.

I have to continue configuring in the same environment and models but in Spanish, so I can´t create another environment or models. 

My issue is that the user needs everything in Spanish, so I when I logged in Spanish I can´t see the descriptions of the dimensions configured in English, and when I access SAP BW in spanish the environment and models only show technical name.

Hi Maria,

Looks like that is the case......Even I checked in my system where everything is configured in English, but when I changed the language to German then everything was visible in German except the dimension descriptions where blank!

Might be a bug.....Or its the default way SAP configured. Dont know exactly! Ask SAP support..

Hi Maria,

Can you try a test by logging onto BPC admin in Spanish, then create an environment and see if the correct description comes up in BW?
