Description not shown after import via Data Manager to BPC from flat file

Hi experts,

I cannot see the description of a dimension when loading it from a flat file. The language that the users will use is Spanish. So, my transformation file is:

I run the data manager package for importing descriptions from flat file and the result is success.

But when I see in the member dimension , the description is not there.

 

When I access BPC Web in english the description is there

Is important to say that the first consultant made the creation of the dimension in English, but this was wrong because the user uses Spanish.

I don´t think the error is here, because as I said in the original post there´s not error when running the

data manager package for importing descriptions from flat file.

Just try transformation using column headers:

ID=CODIGO_UN

EVDESCRIPTION=DESCRIPCION

LANGU=*STR(ES)

I tried the way you said , but still doesn´t show the description when I logged in Spanish.

Hi Maria,

Try LANGU=*STR(S)

SAP Language Code List - 2-letter vs. internal 1char code

SAP uses 1 char for languages, so if you use (ES) it is actually loading into english, as it only takes the first char which is E.

Hi Maria,

have a look at the language settings, maybe try do a load while selecting both in Spanish?

In the user options the language is Spanish
