IBP for Supply - Quality release time

we are trying to imlement IBP for Supply and we are trying to model the release time for quality after the production of a semi-finished good.

The scenario would be, the production of the semi-finished would take place on W1, but the product will be only available for FG production on W8, because of quality analysis.

If we increase the production lead-time for the semi-finished product to 8 weeks I understand that production resources will be loaded the 8 weeks, what is not correct.

Could you please make a recommendation on how to model this scenario?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Best Regards,

Haven't tried so far, but as an ideea perhaps you can have some dummy resources in addition where you maintain this production lead time of 8 weeks. Or model a dummy node in the network with a transportation leadtime of 8weeks.

I am sure this requirement popped up in some other projects, let's see, maybe we get some tested solution.

Thanks a lot for your prompt answer Alecsandra.

The only option we could think was the one with dommy nodes, and have it as a lead time.

For the option you mention about having a dummy resource, my assumption is that as all reasources are loaded at the same time (as it is bucket oriented), I think that production resouces will be loaded the 8 weeks in the same way.

If anyone can think on another proposal, it would be great.

      Best Regards,
