Post installation steps or activities for version PO 7.5

Hello Experts,

This is my first implementation project,till time i have worked on already established system so i am bit confused with implementation stuff..

Details:

We are installing SAP PO 7.5 version system with Oracle 12c database.

Queries:

1) Which activities need to perform after fresh installation of PO system.

2) How to check stability of PO system.

3) How to do configuration for fresh SLD.

4) Which Transportation method need to use for transporting designed objects.

Also please advise me if i am missing any important point.

Hello Experts,

Thanks for your inputs, in my case Post Installation activities and CTS+ Configuration are taken care by BASIS consultant only.

But still this topic/discussion is really helpful for me to understand Post installation activities and other information given by you all.

Really thankfull to all for quick responses.

  • Check the readiness guide : http://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/817920 for AEX Readiness
  • Post the PO Installation, the PO Installation Wizard will need to be run in NWA by your Basis Team. Without this Wizard being run none of the PO Components like ESR etc will loiad.
  • In terms of Configuration in the SLD,
    • You need to make sure all your satellite systems are connected to this PO 7.5 system using RZ70
    • Or, if there is a existing SLD ( either Solman or older PI SLD ), then content from that SLD is synched to this SLD.
    • It depends on what your overall SLD strategy is.
  • For Transporting PO objects you would need to use CTS+ and for BPM you would need to use NWDI with CTS+

I have more queries on your feedback.

Queries:

1) First of all want to know that SLD configuration & Transport routing is done by BASIS team, or its a part of SAP PI/PO Developer work?

2) Also regarding CTS+, is it CTS+ have dependency with Solman system?

3) In case Solman system is not available than what will be alternate option?

4) I found below link to configure CTS+ , but it is for dual stack system with version 7.31

    Do you have any other link or reference for Single stack version?
