Fiori "Application Jobs" and "Application Log" do not show any results.

Hi

On a sandbox S/5 HANA 1511 FPS02 system, we are trying to configure Fiori. Before proceeding with any business apps, we are trying out the Basis apps -- Application Jobs and Application Log.

The apps simply return "No results found. Adjust your search and filter settings." and do not show any jobs or system/application logs. I tried using different selection criteria, yet the same result.

/iwfnd/error_log and /IWFND/APPS_LOG do not show any errors.

I tried to trace and noticed that the select statements operate on APJ_V_JOB_RUN_OV, ACMRT_V etc. My manual attempts to run the select statements have returned 0 rows selected. I can see jobs in SM37 and logs in SM21, with the same user ID.

Has anyone tried using these apps and can anyone help resolve the problem?

Please note that we did not import best practices content yet.

Hello AD,

I believe that your system does not contain any jobs which are tagged as "application jobs". Note that SM37 shows all existing background jobs in a system, including technical jobs like SAP_REORG_SPOOL for example. Application Jobs in SAP S/4HANA will appear also in SM37, but not every job you find in SM37 is an application job.

I believe that only those jobs created via the new "application jobs" Fiori UI are categorized as "application jobs" in SAP S/4HANA. If you create a job manually the old way (via SM36, or some other traditional SAPgui transaction), this is not recognized as an application job since it bypasses the new mechanism.

Hi Alex,

Thanks. Looks like a specific set of job templates are made available and jobs need to be triggered from Fiori. The job template repository is accessible from sapj txn.
