count the weekends in the leave taken for non quota based leave types


I did alot of search and have the same issue as mentioned in the below thread:

I want to make weekends count in IT2001 for some specific leave types and these leave types are non-quota based.

All the suggestions made in the above thread have already been done but still no luck. I am getting this since weekends are recorded as 0 hours.

Any suggestions please?

    In Absence Counting rule assigned to the abs type,

    1. select the week days that are to be counted as leave.
    2. select all Public holiday classes that you want to count
    3. select (or tick) planned hrs = 0 and daily hrs > 0.

    Provided you use days (not hours) for absence counting, if you select planned hrs = 0, do not select daily hrs > 0 and select all week days, then it will result in counting intermediate non-working days; in this case you can use the days to reduce the payment or whatever you require in payroll.

    But if you need to count working hours for which the employee is absent, then counting is only for the actual hrs of absence.
