Chart - Problems while accessing data

Hi All,

While running the application on platform mode, some times I am getting blank charts with message "Problems while accessing data". I am running on DS 1.6 SP1. I am using BW as a data source for some charts and Universe (built on info set) as a data source for remaining. Most of the times I am experiencing this error. I have searched in SCN but did not find the posts related to charts. what is the root cause for this type of scenario? Please suggest me how to resolve this issue.

Thanks for the quick response. I gone through the link, in that he explained how to resolve the issue for the charts based on Universe only. But I am facing same issue for the charts based on BW also. Can you please suggest how to resolve this

Firstly, were these charts working before. Or is this the first time you're trying to create them and you're facing this issue.

If they have been working before, I would give a try with restarting the ConnectionServer first.

Yes, the charts were working before without any issues. As I mentioned in the post, I am using charts based on universe and BW as well. Restarting the Connection server may resolve the universe based charts issue.

How it will impact the BW based charts, I am experiencing the same message "Problems while accessing data".

In my error log I had a message saying Unable to connect to the InfoStore

This note 1919272 though it says in the environment 4.0 SP05 Patch 6. I tried the resolution from here.

I understand that you're using BW. This note also talks about SAP Netweaver BW.

If you're going this path make sure you restart the correct ConnectionServer based on what bit you're using

and we have clustered environment so I did it in all the environments.
