How to connect SAP BusinessObjects cloud to SQL databases

Hi there

Has anyone ever connected SAP BusinessObjects cloud to SQL databases, if so please can you post a step by step screenshots to what needs to be done/configured, as I have tried by following the SAP BusinessObjects cloud help guide, however the help guide is not useful with regards to this issue.

Any suggestions?

*NB please note I have already configured my C4A_AGENT on SAP BusinessObjects Cloud to acquire data from SAP universe and this works, however I would like it to connect to SQL databases

See error returned on screenshot attached.

    Hi Peter,

Your agent should be correctly installed as you can connect to universes.

You need to complete the following steps indicated in the guide to connect to SQL databases:

    SAP BusinessObjects Cloud Help

    1. Download and install JDBC drivers

    2. Create the .properties file to specify the path for the drivers

    3. Restart the agent with the java option

    • Hello John,

I got another update from my resources and found that this issue is also fixed in version 1.0.58, which is coming out soon, where you'll not need JCO driver to be installed for MS SQL.

So, if you'd like you can wait till new version is released or for now, just bypass the error by installing JCO drive.
