Unable to create Service Quote from Service Request

Hello Experts,

I have created Service Request & want to use new functionality of Service Quote (as a follow up document)

but system don't give option to create Service Quote from Service Request.

Can anyone guide me?

Earlier we ware creating Service Order directly from Service Request (without Quote) which later leads to problems

Please Suggest.

Hi Vishal,

           As a standard scenario, ByD  does not have option for creating service quote from service request.     

In Byd :

      Service quote can be created from the  WoC: New Business and Service Order, from the service quote, we can follow up with  service order.

Isn't that a process flaw? or is there a logic behind this?

That means, we wont have Service Request in service order document flow?

Hi Vishal ,

      Please have detail description from Help Center  for " Service Quote quick guide  and Service Request quick guide..

Service Quote:

               Service quote processing is an agreement term between service provider and the customer for  installation / repair service & spare parts replacement.

Service Request:

            Service Request Processing is a request from the customer to resolve the issue for the product / replacement of spare parts  without any agreement terms as in the service quote.

But both documents co-relates with each other.

I think there should be a linking as it is there in pre-sales module.

i will too vote for same.

But it's quite surprising that this wasn't considered at the time of "Service Quote" deployment.
