Copy control for opportunity to contract

hi,

I have the following requirement.

1.  From the Opportunity i wanted to create contract.  i did the following customization.. I maintained copy control setting for transaction type for opp to contract. and registered event to update the item.

2.  I got struck with the item determination.. ( i get the error item category could not be determined)

     and getting an item proposal popup with opportunity item.  (the service contract and the opportunity is already used - only new thing is to make contract out of oppty).

My question is:

1. how to figure out the proper item categories for the target transaction..  and confgure it..

2. Supress the item proposal (dont want oppty item(as its not relevant for contract ))

can anyone throw some idea or light..

hi spencer,

yes, but the opportunity item is product category not an product.. so what relevant configuration we can maintain..

I dont want the Product proposal popup.

Hi G,

You did not mentioned and you may have to customizing copy control for item category.
