E1MARAM-SATNR is not populated in MATMAS IDoc

I encountered a problem when trying to distribute Product Variants.

That what I did:

1. Following the Cook Book - Configurable material and material variants - Supply Chain Management (SCM) - SCN Wiki

I have created Configurable Material (xx_conf_mat) and the Variant (xx_mat_var) as Cross-Plant configuration.

2. Then I am trying to distribute both materials via ALE. I send them in BD10 as MATMAS IDocs. No filter set in the distribution model.

3. There are no problems with sending xx_conf_mat via IDoc.

4. But with xx_mat_var there was a problem: field E1MARAM-SATNR field is completely missing in the IDoc!
5. I have checked MARA table for xx_mat_var in SE16 and found SATRNR=xx_conf_mat

6. I replicated the same with IDES products but no luck either. Seams there is something that prevents sending SATNR via MATMAS

Can anyone share your thoughts why the SATNR is not populated in the MATMAS?

Hi Mikhail!

Please have a look at the settings mentioned below.

1. Logistics - General->Material Master->Basic Settings->Make Global Settings->

2. Sendconfig is true.

3. MARA-SATNR is not cleared.

4. As result E1MARAM-SATNR has a value.

is the classification already in the target system?

Yes, classification goes first

Can you share some more details,

e.g. are you running core ERP or any industry solution

in what release and EHP are you,

are you running a country version?

Can you share your very own screenshots from the materials and Idocs, just to make sure that there was not any mistake made during the copy of data from the example.

Had this worked before or is this your very first try with ALE of material variants?

3. It never worked before. In neither material variants SATNR has been populated.
