Insp. Lot not generating for STO receiving plant

Dear QM Experts,

Our process is we are sending spare parts from plant A to plant B for maintenance, after the job is completed spare parts are sent back to plant A, my requirement is when the spare part is sent to plant A while doing MIGO against outbound delivery inspection lot should be generated for the material.

Please note that the movement of stock from one plant to another is done against WBS.

My issue is, the system is not generating inspection lot for materials received through STO in receiving plant.

I have activated inspection type 01,05 & 08 for the material and i have also unchecked QM not active tick in OMJJ for movement type 101.

Please guide why inspection lots are not getting created.

Thanks for the input, but i cannot understand why the system is fooling us showing the stock will move in unrestricted stock but instead moves to quality, if you have any clue please through some light on it.

Hi Shiv,

I also don't know why it shows Stock Type as "Quality Inspection" for MvT 101 (before saving MIGO) and as soon as it is saved the quantity moved to unrestricted .

Hi Shivkumar,

Looks like you have done most of the things to activate QM in STO. Please can you confirm if you have activated inspection type 08 in the RECEIVING plant (B) or the ORIGINATING plant (A)?

Dear Arijit,

Thanks for your prompt reply, I have activated 08 for receiving plant A as i only want qm when the spares are received back to plant A from plant B, i do not need QM inspection for plant B.
