Hi,

All of a sudden my BO Server went down and I cannot logic CMC and LaunchPad.

I am getting following error when I try to login the server:

"Account information not recognized: Could not reach CMS  The CMS on machine 'bi-prd.com' was stopped due to a critical error. (FWM 20031)"

I am on BO 4.1 SP05 installed on Linux server.

I checked the error log file it says :

35101      The root server reported an error Initialization Failure. (Reason: SAP BusinessObjects BI platform CMS: Unable to connect to the CMS system database ""BI4_CMS_DSN_XXX"". Reason: [Sybase][ODBC Driver][SQL Anywhere]Database server not foundSAP BusinessObjects BI platform CMS: Unable to connect to the CMS system database ""BI4_CMS_DSN_XXX"". Reason: [Sybase][ODBC Driver][SQL Anywhere]Database server not found CDatabase::Open failure. ).

Any input to troubleshoot this will be appreciated.

Thanks,

Vibhav

CMS is not able to connect with CMS repository -  check the DB and start in the Linux server

First make sure the ODBC connection and see if it is responding.

Hi Vibhav,

  • Is there any windows update that ran ?Did you reboot the server?

  • Are you able to test 64 bit ODBC DSN successfully ? Check SQL Anywhere 12 driver as well.

  • If yes then update data source in SIA  properties again and now check if cms.exe is started from windows task  manager.

  • Open Windows  Services and Make sure SQL Anywhere for SAP Business Intelligence' service is started .

Hope this will help you.
