Time performance

Hi ALL,

I need advice in the following situation:

Now we have BW on top of ERP

Then BO connected to BW

For the FI, there is a dashboard in BO that includes all profitability calculations.

This dashboards reads directly from the universe connected directly to the cube 0FIGL_C10

All calculations other than the cummulative balance are done in the BO side

Data coming to 0FIGL_C10 is 631839 which take few seconds while loading

Althought the dashboard takes about 8-10 minuits to load.

Options of changing the source of BO to read directly from BEx is not applicable in the meantime.

Is there any options that can be done to increase the time performance of the dashboard?

Please any suggestion

Loading of 6Lakh records in the cube won't take much time, but based that data if you are doing some calculations in dashboard It matters. First why can't you go with BEx Query why cant you push the calculations in the BEx query level atleast with the minimum of calculation where you find the limitations you can push it BO.

Without getting a broader picture about the dashboard, how can you optimize the dashboard.

How many connections are there ?  How many calculations are involved ? how complex its ? What is the amount of records you are retrieving from the cube ? all these matters. Enable the "Show loading status" will get you a better idea on where its getting delayed.
