I could view data in the system.

most of them have sid/t/h/ as /b361. (what s this /b361)

Thanks in advance for detail explanation

Hi Ben,

As sumit suggested , there are other sources of master data for infoobjects like the one coming from HANA view . The HANA views are inturn created on database tables which will contain the master data. So when ever you perform some operation , the corresponding HANA view is executed and the results are fetched from the DB tables based on the conditions or filters specified.

Hi Sumit and Tharun

Appreciate your inputs.

How hierarchy is handled in this case? Also in bex can we restrict the display of nav and dis and other hierarchy.. ?

Hi Ben Li,

You can use Analysis Authorization via RSECADMIN for restrictions. Please note that the characteristic/ attribute should be auth relevant.

Thanks,

Hi Ben,

In this case the hierarchies are handled using remote hierarchy class. See the example of GL Account (/ERP/GL_ACCT) below:

BEx options are same as classical BW Objects.

Cheers!

Hi Ben,

/ERP/* InfoObjects are virtual InfoObjects based on HANA calculation views. The view that the InfoObject is mapped to can be checked in Master Data/Texts tab. Following screenshot shows the definition of /ERP/INDUSTRY

You can check the corresponding view in the HANA studio in the content section of HANA modeler.

Cheers!
