Hi,

Soap version 1.x i.e. versions 1.0 & above are World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) standards. The XML information set provides a way to describe the XML document with XSD schema.Part 1 is nothing but describes the structure of SOAP messages, processing model and a framework for binding SOAP to underlying protocols. It allows signing & encrypting of messages as well.

Soap RM is used for reliable messaging between the source & target systems i.e.it maintains sequence of messages.
