RFC Connection Error STMS

Former Member

Community,

I've inserted host/cofiles in the sap directory, validated their presence through the GUI and am trying to add a transport to the transport queue in STMS.

The following screen shot shows the button to add a transport into the system. It is not present in my system.

I've attached an image of what the drop down looks like for me in my system... apologies, for some reason I can't copy paste into this text box.

Is this a permissions issue for my ID?

There is one import in the queue and the status of the import is generating error.  I have also attached an image of this.

I believe I need to re-establish the RFC connection but am looking for some direction.

Thanks experts!

Hello Peter,

Check TMSADM user is locked, if locked unlock, use the report TMS_UPDATE_PWD_OF_TMSADM

to update the password.

Hi,

Test your TMS RFC in SM59 and provide the error here?

Also STMS -> Transport Route -> Open in edit mode - > Distribute and Activate and save.

Test RFC again.

Kind Regards,

Johan

Hello Peter,

What happens if you perform a "connection test" at the SM59 destination "CallTP_<Operating_System>"?

Does it work?

If not, try setting the parameter "rfc/use_gwstart = 1" (requires a system restart) and verify whether the destination still fails.

check your tp configuration.

Try using tp connect <sid> pf=<location of .PFL file>  or

Execute RSTPTEST program to check the STMS configuration.

Also, check tmsadm user whether its lock. check TMS RFC and test for authorization.

Hello Peter,

The extras menu you attached is from import overview screen.

The add button comes when you go to import queue of a system.

Can you add STMS --> Shifh+F6 (System Overview) and Shift+F7 (Transport Routes) screenshots also?

Is STMS and routes are configured for your system correctly?
