How to Connect different Instances to a GTADIR?

Hi,

I have been wondering how to actually go about connecting different systems to a Global TADIR table called TADIR.

I have consulted the following links:

I also found a answer to a previous question regarding the GTADIR which stated that this is not possible in a client landscape as recorded in note(). Is this possible between different development systems?

I know that report RDDTA2GT needs to be run in order to create the entries in the GTADIR table, but when running this report no entries are shown in the GTADIR table. This is why I think is could be that I did not set up a way of routing to the server hosting the GTADIR table. (RDDTA2GT SAP ABAP Report - GTADIR Setup: All Objects with SRCSYSTEM=SY-SYSID -> GTADIR)

RDDTTADI is then used if the server is offline to flag the objects in the TADIR table to be validated later. (RDDTTADI SAP ABAP Report - Process GTADIR Checks on Entries in the TTADIR)

Question: Has anyone worked with the GTADIR table before and if so how does the setting up of connections and the actual check work with the server host running the GTADIR table?

Kind Regards,

Ruan Maass

Hi,

After a very long search, I have found that it is not recommended to use this SAP standard program as it is used internally by SAP and it is not really available to the clients.
