UK Payroll: Part Day Sick leave treated as unpaid

Former Member

Hi All,

I am facing an issue in UK payroll. When we apply the Sick leave for part day then that day is coming as an unpaid leave in payroll. This is happening even if the day is of 100% Sick pay. If the same day is taken for full day it is treated correctly. The part day entitlements calculation is set as Elapsed Hours AB. Is there any way to configure it as paid part day leave?

Regards,

Saureb

1. Check the absence counting class in V_T554E is not used for an unpaid leave.

2. In V_T554C, you can assign

2.a)Abs Counting class as per V_T554E, paid/unpaid and %.  Usually this % is 100

2.b)valuation

- a w/t to pay for the leave period,

- percentage of the absence time.  This also usually 100%.

- RH payroll hrs usually (this is the no.of hrs shown in IT 2001)

3. The leave can be with half pay, full pay or double pay type of leave,

In V_512W_B you can assign the same val.basis with 50%, 100%, or 200%.  The basis w/t's /001, /002, etc are created in XT00 sub-schema PCRs X010 based on pr cl 1 of payment w/t' (from IT 😎 and hourly rate calculated for these basis w/ts' again based on their pr cl 1 which would be different for such basis w/t's.

4. In XPPF and their sub PCR's the partial pay factor (ppf) w/t's /801 to /816 are reduced as below for example:

RTE=TSSOLL           worked hrs for the pay period

    RTE-TSAP**             less paid absences

    RTE=TSAU**            less unpaid absences

    RTE*KGENAU          multiplied by 1000,000

RTE/TSDIVI              divided by pay period hrs

    ADDWT /801

TSAP** means paid absence hrs of all counting classes, TSAU** for unpaid.

You can differentiate a specific absence counting class by say TSAUnn where nn is the abs cntg class of one or more absence type/s depending on how you have assigned this to absence types..

KGENAU is a constant 1000,000.  This helps to get a high accuracy in calculations.

5. In XVAL, the /8** w/t's are used to reduce payment w/t's such as basic pay, etc based on their proc cl 10 value; in this pr cl, value 01 means the w/t is reduced by /801 ppf w/t.
