Hello all!
I just have a short question about the SAP Bank Communication Management. I can't find a clear answer about it's functionalities:
Is the tool able to conduct electronic depository Transfers (especially SEPA)? Or is it just a Tool for the Monitoring?

Thank you in anticipation

Hello V,
BCM is a module of SAP’s Financial Supply Chain Management component.
it provides a very good features which will be very helpful to large business in bank accounting and Accounts payable area.
At very high level below are features being offered by BCM
Merge payments
Approve payments
Payment status monitor
Bank statement monitor
Display incoming status messages
Reservation for cross-payment run payment media
Status of collector payments
Define alerts
When you implement the SAP Integration Package for SWIFT , you can receive acknowledgement messages or delivery notifications from SWIFT. These status messages can be received, processed, and displayed in the payment status monitor of SAP Bank Communication Management
now, to answer your question

This BCM module is comes after FI-AP module in process. you execute F110 in FI-AP module. here you will generate payment file based on Bank requirement of payment file. i.e. ( ACH/ wire/ in house / domestic )
after that before this file reaches to Bank, this payment run details will come in BCM , in BCM you can approve / reject payments , add additional appprovals for specific payments , add digital signature for this payment approval, etc.
then this payment file will reaches to Bank ( if you have swift integration package you do not need any other 3rd party tool / system ) via communication channel setup between your SAP system and Bank system.
with the help of BCM message notification and alert system, you will be able to monitor the status of payments has been received by bank / accepted by bank / rejected by bank etc.. and also you can get reason of rejection etc.
After BCM implementation, you will not need any bank software / 3rd party middle system to monitor the status of payments.
in addition, Bank statement monitor and other features are very much useful.
Hope this information will be helpful
