Hello Experts
We are facing a strange problem on when we reverse the overhead calculation against order the system is not reversing the amount and if i do settlement of order again it is allowing to do settlement and post the OH cost again.
Example : My Consumption Value (261/262) = Rs. 200 , Overhead first time = Rs 40 ,Gr value (101/102) = Rs. 230
So, Total Consumption = Rs. 200 + 40 = Rs 240
Variance = GR - Total consumption = 230- 240 = Rs -10
But suppose i reverse all activity like order settlement, GR, Consumption but system is not reversing Overhead calculation IN KGI2--> Reverse
and when we do overhead settlement again it is adding it to the earlier value.
E.g Consumption Value (261/262) = Rs. 200 , Overhead first time = Rs 55 ,Gr value (101/102) = Rs. 230
So, Total Consumption = Rs. 200 + 40(Earlier OH settlement) + 55 = Rs 295
Variance = GR - Total consumption = 230- 295 = Rs -65
I have gone through SAP note : 185299 and already some posted threads on the forum.
Please guide as it is urgent ,why system is showing this strange behavior and how to reverse Overhead costs posted ?

Amit Sharma
Amit,
Have you reverse all the steps sequentially to re run the settlement like settlement reversal--> variance Reversal--> WIP Reversal--> OH reversal--> GR reversal--> GI reversal. Now the required postings on the order, then the sequential settlement process?
Just cross check the process you reversed, It will works.

Ravi

Experts,
Please help ...!!
I have gone through one more note 1566203,In this note some patch upgradation is recommended.
Please through some light on this issue and system behavior and how to rectify it.

Hi Amit,
I would recommend these steps to analyze the error.
1:Check costing sheet configuration
-->Base cost elements, check which cost elements are used for overhead calculation
-->Check Overhead percentages
2:If overheads are applied based on material consumption/labor costs
-->Check in which period material consumption/labor costs posted.
3:Is overhead calculation based on output costs?
4:Execute Overhead calculation KGI2,based on step#2 postings and Reversal also depends on step#2
Hope this helps you.
Thanks,
Rau
Hello
Thanx for your reply ...!!
1.Costing sheet is maintained properly.
2.Overheads are applied on material consumption and the activity is being performed in the same period.
3. No
4.Repeated the process again but still Overhead amount not reversed.
I wanna make sure is this happening in my system only??Has anybody else faced this issue earlier while reversing?? Does KGI2 reverses the OH calculation??
Regards,
Amit Sharma
