Hi ,

Hope the issue is sorted out till now. If sorted, then please do close this discussion. Please follow,

If not sorted, we would love to get update regarding this matter?

Is a tape initialization command involved after mounting the tape? It looks like its the issue with the Tape Hardware, check with the tape hardware team, they might need to replace the Tape Writing Head. The same happened in my case also for the HP Tape Library. To prove my point, you can set the backup location on that server to a local drive & will also see that the backup is happening properly in the PRD server local drive.

Thanks,

Kaushik

Hi,

Check this note.

142731 - DBCC checks of SQL server

Also check space on tapes/server/db.

Kind Regards,

Johan

Hi,

1. Is the tape corrupt?

2. I see in your statement unload but if you are mounting the tape should it not be load?

Kind Regards.

Johan
