Hello Experts,
we have upgraded from EP7.0 to 7.40.
I have a problem on the portal desktop.
We have 3 iviews in the page:
- one for the standard welcome page with icons
- one for Additional messaging to portal users
- one for Portal usage rules
In 7.0 portal, focus was set on first iview
in 7.40 focus is being set on last loaded iview, in our case, the last one of the list.
I set priorities in iview setting from 10 to 30 in the right order, but it does not change result ...
Has anyone ever faced this kind of problem ?
Regards,
Nicolas
Hi Nicolas
Can you set the property "Default Entry for Folder" to yes for the Iview you want to load 1st in the page and then check if its suffices your issue or not ?

Hi Nicolas
Ideally the browser should not affect the property that you are changing and the behavior should be constant across all the browser's.
Refer to the below PAM link and check if you are at the supported version of portal or not for accessing via Google Chrome.

Hello,
is the focus made by the property "Default Entry for Folder" provoqued by the use of silverlight ?
I see in the PAM that silverlight is no longer supported ...
When i check in F12 of Chrome, silverlight is loaded, but i don't know if it is working, i seem to have javascript errors on silverlight.

Hi all,
finally I have found out where the problem is coming from :
If i have "normal" iviews in a page, the property "Default Entry for Folder" makes the focus right.
If i have one "web-dynpro" iview in the page, no matter where I place it, the focus is made on this iview in chrome, not in Firefox or IE ...
How can I overcome this ?
Thanks,
Nicolas

Hi Nicolas
Can you please check that the iView is located in a PB WD page and not a regular PRT page, if its on PRT page - create a WD page put the iView in it and check whether the issue persists.
Check that in the page there are no iViews from both WD and PRT - this can cause a lot of problems, if so delete all the PRT iViews and check again.
Alternatively refer SAP Note # 1408621, which has a tool that checks under a specific folder whether the content is constructed according to SAP guidelines.
If the content is not according to the guidelines then this will show the problematic objects in a table with the reason that causes the problem.
