Hello Jogeswara,

I found your well explained document on adding user fields in Notifications.

It has saved my time alot, Many thanks.

Just wondering that whether you have come across following issue during this ( or I must have forgot something).

I am using new user fields in a new tab along with Coding ( calalog D ) ( screen area 031 ).

The issue is when I putting 031 and 091 together (in new tab) it doesn't save the codes/Description and the long text,

But it saves the data in the new user fields.

So I have to create separate tab for 031 and 091 screen area. It took sometime for me to figure out where the problem is!!

It is certainly not the end of the world.

2ndly I have not gone thru step5/6 as explained in your document.

• That's a very good sharing. I haven't come across this, because I always tried these screen areas in inside tabs.
• Definitely it will not be the end-of -the-world for any issue in SAP or even in life. When one door closes several other open.
• If we spend some time (these days I'm unable to) we might be able to resolve this too.
• Steps 5 and 6 are optional. One is for having custom field in IW28/29 (your QM10/11) and another is to have these fields in display mode in IW23 (or QM03).
