Fiori ERP X2 & EHP8 Upgrade

Hi

i'm during an EhP8 upgrade based on EHP6 ERP with installed FIORI ERP APPLICATIONS X2 1.0 (Central App INT ERP 6.00) SP 06.

During a planned upgrade to EhP7 the Fiori-App was "retrofitted" in existing EHP7/NW74-functionality.

During the upgrade to EhP8/NW75 it's not retrofitted, but I need a "SAINT Upgrade package" etc.

Can anybody tell we what has to be done to successfully upgrade EhP6 to EhP8? What happens with Fiori in NW75/EHP8? Is there a successor version for EhP8 which I missed to select in the MP transaction?

Where can I find the required information (SAP Note?)?

As per PAM matrix. FIORI ERP APPLICATIONS X2 1.0 is not available for EHP87 FOR SAP ERP 6.0

Hi Michael,

I can see only 1 App requires min. SAP ERP 6.0 EHP 8.

But for Apps that requires min. SAP ERP 6.0 EHP 7, the number is 158. So I think there is not a large difference between EHP 7 and EHP 8 of Fiori Apps. You may still need to install the same Fiori related components as you did in EHP 7.

However, when I run the upgrade from EhP6 with installed Fiori ERP X2 to EhP7 it says "GBX02EAP is retrofitted" (included in a NW74/EhP7 component) and "uninstallled", whereas during an upgrade from EhP6 with Fiori ERP X2 to EhP8 it does not say it's retrofitted and I have to supply an update package (or a deinstallation package or a "keep version" key).

So, it's not about installation, but about "uninstall" or "retrofitting".

Hi Michael,

Please check note 2314690 - Component retrofits are not considered during an EHP8 for ERP 6.0 upgrade or a S4HANA conv....

My search for IS_SELECT (with underscore) did not result in this note.

However, I am already on SPAM 61, but I could implement the correction instruction / note; I'll come back and post my results as soon as I'm in phase IS-SELECT again

I will continue with deinstallation of GBX02SAP via SAINT. Thanks for your effort.

Before uninstall, kindly check note 2160664 - Uninstalling SAP Fiori OData components GBX02SAP 600, GBX02EAP 600, GBX02SA4 604, GBX02RT4...

Would you please open an message to SAP AGS and let us know the solution?
