Deletion of old MF47 backlogs in REM

Hi All,

There were many reservations in RESB table , when I tried to analyse the reason I see there were many reservations of MF47 from the 1996

These reservations were created due to backlogs from backflush , these were still there in MF47 trasaction

Is there any program or way we can delete these entries from MF47 for the past years ??

Thanks

Sireesha

Hello

Yes, you can delete them. I don't think those records will be relevant for inventory or costing and posting them will only cause problems.

Hi Caetano,

Thanks for your response , could you please let me know what will be best way to delete these ?

Is there any option/report to delete these records in mass for the selected years?

P.S I see some millions of records exist in system , which I cannot delete manually

Thanks

Hello,

Please check the reports mentioned in the below WIKI link, they should help.

Inconsistencies for planning elements and display problems on transaction MD04 - ERP Manufacturing (...

This is not an inconsistency , the business has not cleared the MF47 entries at all from past many years , and hence they exist still in MF47

Now I would like to know if there is any report/tabke which can delete these entries

Thanks

Hi

Backlogs are stored in "RESB" and "AFFW"; of course it's not recommended to delete directly from table. you can use COGI t-code, select all and delete records. it takes more time but a much more safer than deleting table records.
