purchase requisition generated in SNP

Hi experts,

just a  little clarification. How does SNP decides where, when and what quantity should be procured or produced. Is there a background settings to achieve this

Yes, as DB49 said, this is really complicated, but to simply answer this question -- SNP heuristic and optimizer will evaluate the key figure value which marks as "stock on hand" (key figure function 3004).
If in a period the value of this key figure is negative, SNP will try to procure in this period to cover this shortage.
As DB94 suggested, you'll need to try to understand basic things of SNP and then ask some more specific questions.

This is quite a vague question.  An answer could take hundreds of pages and still not be complete.

I will assume that you diligently investigated all the SNP related topics located in help.sap.com (where one can find a lifetime's worth of information about SAP software and business solutions) in an effort to discover this answer, before posting this question.

So, first, tell me exactly which of the SNP Planning topics that you read through in help.sap.com that you found confusing?  I would want to see the help.sap.com citation you read, and a detailed question about the cited topic.
