Query regarding Common Technical Object

Hi All

Here I do have one short query regarding common equipment's. How can I take care of these common equipment plus ADMIN Building, Canteen n all etc.

Suppose

Planning Plant : A

Maintenance Plant : B & C.

Example : Chimney, both plant B & C using the same. Specially case for ADMIN Building, Canteen etc..

Can we create Planning plant it self a maintenance plant for these common things ?

Pl suggest your valuable suggestion.

Regards

PM

    Hi,

To cater this requirement, yes you can create the planning itself as maintenance plant. The maintenance on the common equipment can be done by workforce from any plant B and C.

    Hi PM,

It all depends on business requirement on how to have organizational structures and a suitable structuring of technical systems which are the basis for being able to use SAP EAM to map business processes in plant maintenance and to subsequently process them.

You can elaborate on your query once if you go through the below mentioned links on basic pm org structure . Whether it is common or not equipment is a equipment & which is a technical object to which we need to do maintenance.

In your case one possibility is you can define maintenance plant for equipments like for canteen, admin. bldg. chimney, etc. and assign maintenance planning plant 'A 'to this maintenance plant. Rest of the process for maintaining these technical objects is a standard process.
