Inventory Management (backdated)

Hello,

We are searching for a solution in the inventory process:

We want to confirm some count tasks in sap byd in the past. the customer made his inventory 2 weeks ago and wants to upload the inventory data today into the system for the date he did the inventory. after the counting, the customer had a lot of good movments. The problem is, that the good movements arn't considered if we import the good counting into the system.

Example:

Stock at the inventory day: 10

Sell two products two days after the inventory and new stock: 8

Upload inventory: 10 (with reference day - inventory day)

Expected Inventory: 8

Wrong Value in the System: 10

Does someone know a solution for that process?

am I right with the assumption, this is still not possible in the system (1605)?

Stefan have you found a solution or a workaraound by now?

I am sorry but I didn't found any solution till today. Our Customer should do his inventory step by step in future, that the warehouse just has to close partialy. But I still hope that SAP provides a solution for that case.

Hi Stefan,

as far as I know it is not possible to count for a specific date. As soon as the count tasks are approved they will adjust the actual stock. The assumption is that during counting of a logistics area no warehouse operations should happe for this logistics area, until the count is approved.

Thank you for the answer. We got the same answer from SAP, after sending a Helpdesk request. (Works as designed)

We are looking for an other solution, but it seams to be impossible.
