Ping the bpm server

Hi Experts,

I want to know that is there any web service available which we can call from the bpm server. The requirement is we want to call the web service from the bpm server before we trigger the workflow.

I know that won't answer your question but why don't you use a middle ware to between caller and BPM so if the service is not available the requester can send the request anyway and the middle ware could stage the request until BPM is online. That would be best way to do so in my opinion. Otherwise Jun ist just right with his statement.

just call ur bpm service, if server is down, you will get exception.....
