Hi Kumar,

SAP Simple Finance is the evolution of SAP FICO.

Instead of having a lot of tables with information (BKPF, BSEG, COEP, BSID, BSAK,) only 2 tables, ( BKPF & ACDOCA ).

I suggest you go to SAP S/4HANA, on-premise edition – SAP Help Portal Page -> Getting Started & Simplification List; also sap notes 2119188 , 2171878, 2235268, 2233539, 2270333

A whole new world.

Hi Gustavo,

Thanks for the reply...

Actually i learnt recently SAP FICO and trying for the JOBS. While surfing i came across the concept of SAP SIMPLE FINANCE.

Do you want me to learn SAP SIMPLE FINANCE.

Please suggest !

Good question ..... Simple Finance or SAP FICO ?

My best answer is go with SAP FICO but have the basic knowledge of Simple Finance. If job lets you go in Simple Finance , then go full ahead with Simple Finance.

Simple Finance is new (1 year ), SAP FICO NewGL (10 years).

SAP is going to Simple Finance but installed based now is greater in SAP FICO NewGL.

You may ask the same question in Carrer Center ( http://scn.sap.com/community/career-center

)

SAP Simple Finance is an add-on to SAP ERP and it is a standard product developed to work on top of SAP ERP. SAP FICO is something I think you should select. I also agree with other answers that you should go with SAP FICO but have the basic knowledge of Simple Finance.  SAP is the important module of ERP in which both FI and CO modules stores the financial transactions data. SAP FICO is more popular and many companies are hiring for it but you need to have sufficient knowledge which you would develop in time.

I got some clarity looking at the answers but these were answered in 2016, I would like to the answer as per the current scenerio and a bit more understanding on the role if I get certified in either of them.
