Hello All expert, Academician,
I'm planning to submit research topic regarding SAP Hana for my PhD. Currently I'm working as SAP Basis and my daily work doesn't use SAP Hana.
Could you advice and suggest if there is any interesting topic for Hana that we can explore for PhD doctorate?
Thanks
Hilmi
You might want to have a look into and the linked documents.
Coming from a basis/operations background certainly lends itself to look a bit more closely into the bits of SAP HANA that touch this area.
One that I find interesting - especially when it's about features and functions that don't exist (yet) - is the area of elastic resource and capacity management.
Say, you have this massive data processing job to do, but you have to do it only occasionally. In environments like AWS or computing clusters you can dynamically allocate more resources, perform the job and disengage the resources afterwards.
Doing that for applications on SAP HANA could be quite interesting in some cases.
