Hi Hans,

Couple of things you can also check,

- There seems to be two sets of Files in the link, one with the scroll bar and one without.

Please check if you are using the right combination as well.

-Check the data set under Prepare tab.

-Uninstall this chart extension, Restart the application and Re-install the extension again.

Thank you,

Hans,

this is a great example of the value of open sourcing: developed this first for a 'generic' use case, i.e., with scroll bar. That way, you can add as many rows to the chart as you want. Wendy would define in the code the max number of lines you can see simultaniously before you have to scroll.

Later, there was a need to show 20 rows without a scroll bar: it's the size of the team we are using this chart for (project assignments) and we figured that 20 is not too many to show if you have a resonably sized screen. Wendy was kind enough to adopt the viz for us (she was on my team, so I could ask )

The beauty of the open sourced extensions is that you get the code and you can modify the extensions as you need or want. We encourage you to share back anything that you create!

cheers

Hi Hans,

Can you try recreating a new lums file again? This should work. I get the following result:

Please try again and let me know if it doesn't work. Then perhaps we can debug it and see what's happening.

Thanks,

Annie

Thanks Annie for the reply. I found the solution. In the Prepare Room, you have to set as Display Format for the "Start Date" and "End Date" : MM-DD-YY (and not : DD-MM-YY)

Hi Hans,

Oh right! That makes sense. In fact, there are two calculated columns in the dataset - "Start Date(2)" and "End Date (2)" which I believe have that date format.

Great to know it's working now.

Thanks!

Hi Hans

As that extension was posted by Annie Niangneihoi, you may want to see about contacting her re. how the extension is supposed to work(?).

HI Ludek,

Thanks for your feedback. The extension is actually developed by Xin Wen as mentioned in the readme. I am only the publisher.

Thanks,

Annie
