User "Number of transactions" differs after System Copy

Hello everybody,

I do have an issue here on a copied system. Prehistory to this is: A productive system (PRD) was copied to create a brand new system (TST) for testing purpose. DB is MSSQL. There was no system refresh. So in this case all users were transferred from PRD to TST.

Now some users cant run transactions in the TST while these transactions work perfectly in the PRD. By running SU01 --> Information System --> Transactions --> Executable Transactions (All Selection Options) I was comparing the PRD to the TST.

Comparison between PRD (first screen) and TST (second screen) looks like:

As you can see the number of transactions differs a lot!

Any clue on how to solve my problem here? I already tried to "Reset User Buffer" in SU53 --> Authorization Values - no success.

Regards and thanks in advance

Daniel

Hi Daniel,

What was the method used to build the TST system from Prod.

Thanks,

Hello Manas,

got some news here: To create the system copy the standard procedure (using SWPM, backup/restore) was used. But, and now an important information, after that the system was patched to EHP8 and the new Kernel 7.45.

Maybe there are some issues located?

Hi,

If your test system patched/upgraded  I would say that is quite a big difference yes. But still wouldn't necessarily explain the issue as system restore what is basically copy and paste systems should be the same. Does the user you use to run this report in the two systems have the same access in the two systems?

Maybe it does not have the necessary access to list all those tcodes?

Hi there,

just wanted to update you on that: We were not able to solve the issue in the amount of time that was planned. The customer opened a case at SAP... we are waiting for reply. Whenever I get some useful information I will post it right here.
