Generic datasource safety interval upper limit 1 on changed date

Hi All,

I have created a Generic Data source on a table and have set changed date as delta specific field with upper limit as 1, and lower limit blank.

I have created the test data in D system on 06/27/2016(June 27 2016) and extracted into BW. I can see the new records in BW.

Now i tried changing the data on the same day 06/27/2016 in ECC and i tried to extract data into BW, but it is fetching 0 records.

Can you explain how safety interval upper limit  1 on changed date work?

Correct answer will be rewarded.

Regards,

FM.

Hi Tibollo,

In case if i have a new document created in ECC on 06/28/2016  it wont be extracted into BW, as the lower limit will be 06/27/2016 and since the upper limit is maintained as 1, the upper limit will move to 06/27/2016. This wont get the created document on 06/28/2016.

Can you/anybody throw some light on this.

that is correct. the document will be extracted with the delta run of 6/29/2016. Upper limit of 1 means that data is loaded up to date - 1.
