QA07 not create Inspection Lot

Hi,

I'm trying to create inspection lots for a material wich has several expired batches. This material has thw QM viwe created with Inspection type 09 active (Insp.with task list) and has an Inpection Plan (Usage 09).

When I run QA07 transaction, I set "Lot creation only". The system select several batches but doesn't generates any Inspection Lot and furthermore, despite the radio button "Lot creation only" is set the system transfer the batches into blocked status.

What's wrong?

Thanks in advance.

Best Regards,

OCS.

    Hi OCS,

There are two different dates in the batch

    1. SLED/BBD (expiry date)

    2. Next Inspection date (retest date)

The dead line monitoring (QA07) do following things

    1. Create inspection lot with/without stock posting to Quality inspection from Unrestricted Use when the Next inspection date is reached.

    2. Put the stock in blocked stock / Restricted Use (in case of batch status is active) when Expiry date is reached.

in your case, the expiry date is reached and the material is posted to blocked stock.

    • Hi OCS,

The system is designed to first check the SLED/BBD (expiry date) and move the stock to blocked / restricted use and then check the next inspection date (retest date) and create inspection lot with/without stock posting to quality inspection stock from unrestricted use.

It is logical as well. Because if the material is expired then it should not be used and there is no meaning of retesting.

So, make sure, if the SLED/BBD date is earlier then Next inspection date, the system will move the material to Blocked / Restricted use stock instead of creating the inspection lot.
